After kit inspection the Scouts will be doing survival skills for the rest of the day, including:
- First Aid for hypothermia and heat exhaustion
- navigation skills, with and without map and compass
- distress signals
- fire lighting and cooking on wood
- water purification.
Some of the older Scouts may be camping out under Bivouac's tonight so that they can qualify for their Survival badge.

ReplyDeleteLooks like I lost my bet - Alex has changed his shorts. I doubt there are any sweets left to take off the Scouts now. Although thats what Alex might be eating if Ray hasn't come up with anything other than goat for the survival cooking.
ReplyDeleteSounds like another busy and exciting day. Hope the weather is kind to those scouts sleeping under bivouacs tonight. The house is very quiet without you and the x box is gathering dust ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope Jimmy didn't turn the colour of the camp t-shirts watching Ray doing survival cooking :( :(
ReplyDeleteDid you manage to get everything back in your bag Naomi?! Lol x Bet you're glad you're not doing the survival overnight thing just yet! How on earth you're meant to sleep under there, I have no idea! Lol x
